What OurDream AI’s video and image tools actually do

OurDream is an AI companion platform. You create a character (looks, personality, voice) or pick one from the community, then chat, call and generate visuals of them. The visual side has two parts.

Images. You describe a scene and OurDream renders your character in it, in a realistic or anime art style. Images can also appear on their own during a chat. There are tools to enhance an image (upscale and refine it) and to edit one. The help center names two editing models, Spark and Eclipse, and Eclipse costs more.

Video. OurDream generates short clips of your character, priced in 5-second blocks. Its help center lists standard clips up to 60 seconds. You can also choose an ultra-quality option, extend an existing clip by 5 seconds, enhance a finished video or add audio. What makes OurDream video different from a generic text-to-video tool is that it’s tied to your character, so the woman in the clip is the same one you’ve been chatting with.

Two limits matter. First, you can’t upload reference photos. OurDream doesn’t allow it because of deepfake and legal risks, and its safety center says it doesn’t host real-person likenesses. Every character is fictional and built inside the app. Second, results vary. OurDream’s own prompting guide says generations “will never be 100% identical”. Here is OurDream’s published structure at the time of writing. Check the site before you buy, because prices and coin costs change.

In practice: 1,000 monthly coins go a long way on images but quickly on video. Here is the arithmetic from the listed rates. A 10-second standard clip uses 200 coins, so a month’s allowance covers about five of those. A full 60-second clip uses 1,200 coins, more than a month’s allowance on its own. Draft scenes as stills first, then animate the ones that work.

Video scene prompt builder (free tool)

OurDream’s guide advises describing one clear action, keeping each prompt to a single scene, naming the camera angle and setting the pacing. This free builder puts those into a ready-to-paste prompt; generating the clip itself on OurDream still needs a subscription and dreamcoins. All output is tasteful and SFW, and characters are always adults.

Prompting tips for consistent Asian and anime characters

• Lock your character’s core description and reuse it word for word. OurDream’s guide says to keep key descriptive words consistent and to save prompts that work. Keep one block (face, hair, age range, style) and change only the scene.
• Name the style at the start. “Photorealistic” or “anime” as the first words stops the model blending the two. Semi-realistic (often called 2.5D) works, but it drifts more, so use the exact same phrase every time.
• Use specific features, not just a label. “Asian woman” gives a generic face. Describe hair length and color, fringe style, eye shape and a signature accessory. Our OurDream Asian guide has a builder for exactly this.
• One action per clip. “Turns and smiles” animates cleanly. “Turns, walks, waves and sits down” usually falls apart. Make longer stories from several short clips.
• Give the camera one job. A slow push-in or a static shot keeps the face stable. Fast orbits and whip pans are where faces warp.
• Match lighting to setting. Neon on a Tokyo street or lanterns at a night market look believable. Lighting that clashes with the setting can make the scene look fake.
• Draft as stills, then animate. Given the coin costs above, this is the single biggest saving.
• If a generation fails or gets flagged, simplify the prompt. OurDream moderates both what you submit and what it generates.

Is OurDream AI legit?

Here is what we could verify from OurDream’s own published policies. We haven’t audited its systems, so treat these as the company’s claims.

• Who runs it: Dream Studio USA, Inc., named in the site footer and privacy policy.
• Privacy: the privacy policy says user data is encrypted at rest and in transit (AES and TLS 1.3) and that it does “not currently sell” personal information. It uses Google Analytics. You can delete your account under Settings → Account management.
• Cancellation: self-serve. Go to your profile page, click “Cancel subscription” and confirm. You keep access until the end of the billing period. There’s no automatic refund on cancellation.
• Refunds: requested through “Request Help” on your profile. The policy says no refund once more than 25% of a product has been used, and annual plans may qualify for a full or partial refund.
• Your content: after your plan ends, images and videos are blurred until you resubscribe, so download what you want to keep. OurDream says you may use your own generations commercially if they follow its terms.
• Safety: adults-only (18+). The safety center states it does not host content depicting minors or real-person likenesses, and that it tells you when content is removed and why.
• Billing discretion: OurDream doesn’t publish how the charge appears on bank statements, and we couldn’t confirm it. If that matters to you, check your first statement or ask support before you subscribe.
• App: no native app yet. It runs in the browser, and you can add it to your iPhone or Android home screen.
